Location: Vadnais Heights
Capacity: 75 on site, unlimited off site
Client Profile: Intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD), age 21+ with support needs including self-care, mobility, visual or hearing impairments and/or history of intense maladaptive behaviors, (e.g. developement, physical aggression, property destruction, self injurius behavior, or co-diagnosis of mental illness).
Program length: Five hours (M-F)
Staff to Client Ratio: 1:2-1:4 (overall program ratio 1:3 desired). Additional staffing includes one Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and one Production lead focusing on pre-vocational training and assessment.
Program focus: Facility-based work production and offsite work crews (5-30 hours per week); community integration; direct and indirect therapies including occupational, horticulture, music and pet therapy; arts and crafts; sensory integration; social and recreation; positive behavior support planning; augmented communication including assistive technology and American Sign Language; and enriched staff to client ratios to perform ADLs. Clients have access to multiple structured work and activity settings and individualized strategies and schedules to promote optimum achievement of outcomes.
Program funding: CADI, CCSA, DD Waiver or Medicaid depending on the client's resources.
